Outdoor Recreation Traineeship

Full-Time, Fixed-Term for 2027, 2 positions available

Are you passionate about outdoor education and creating meaningful experiences for young people? Christ Church Grammar School is seeking two committed and energetic professionals to join its Outdoor Education team based at Kooringal, a fully staffed residential Outdoor Education Centre nestled in the jarrah forest near Dwellingup. These positions will commence in January 2027.

Through an extensive journey-based expedition program, students in Years 4 to 10 are challenged to grow in confidence, resilience and independence. These roles provide the prospect to work in a unique residential setting, leading students through a broad range of outdoor experiences while contributing to one of Western Australia's most respected school outdoor education programs.

Located on the banks of the Murray River and surrounded by pristine forest, Kooringal delivers adventure, field studies and school community programs that extend learning beyond the classroom. Successful applicants can expect to work across a variety of environments, supporting students to develop resilience, teamwork, leadership and a lifelong connection to the outdoors.

How You'll Make an Impact Deliver memorable outdoor learning experiences for students.

- Support adventure activities, camps and expeditions.
- Encourage student growth, resilience and teamwork.
- Assist with canoeing, kayaking, bushwalking and environmental programs.
- Help maintain equipment, facilities and vehicles.
- Contribute to the day-to-day operation of Kooringal.
- Learn from experienced outdoor educators and gain industry qualifications.
