Hire Society is seeking a hands-on Packing 2IC to support our Packing Manager and help lead the day-to-day operations of our busy Packing Department.

The Role

Working closely with our Packing Manager, you will help coordinate the daily packing operation while working hands-on alongside the team.

You'll assist with workflow, staff supervision, order accuracy, stock management and quality control, and step up to oversee the Packing Department when the Packing Manager is away.

With more than 4,000 product lines, this role suits someone who loves organisation, works accurately under pressure and isn't afraid of a busy warehouse environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the Packing Manager with the daily operation of the department
- Assisting with supervising, coordinating and training the packing team
- Taking responsibility for the department in the Packing Manager's absence
- Hands-on picking, checking and packing of customer orders
- Ensuring orders are accurate,



complete and ready on time
- Correct handling and storage of returned and outgoing equipment
- Maintaining equipment quality and presentation standards
- Assisting with stock control, stocktakes and identifying potential shortages
- Helping prioritise workloads during busy periods
- Monitoring and helping reduce packing errors
- Supporting improvements in team productivity
- Communicating with other departments to ensure stock is available when required
- Assisting customers with warehouse collections and returns
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

About You We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and ready to take ownership.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Experience in a warehouse, picking/packing, hospitality or similar fast-paced environment
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience – highly regarded but not essential
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong numerical and basic mathematical skills
- The ability to learn and recognise a large product range
- Good computer and administration skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The confidence to provide direction and support to other team members
- The ability to problem-solve and manage changing priorities
- A positive,



proactive and team-focused attitude
- Permanent Australian working rights with no restrictions

It's a Physical Role We want applicants to understand that this is a hands-on warehouse position, not a desk-based supervisory role.

You'll be on your feet for most of the day and the position involves regular bending, reaching, moving equipment and lifting items weighing up to approximately 20kg.

A good level of physical fitness and the ability to safely perform repetitive manual handling are essential.

Hours

This is a full time position based at our Shenton Park warehouse.

Working days may vary depending on the time of year and operational requirements, with rosters generally operating Monday–Friday.

Some flexibility will be required during our busiest event periods.
