Charterhouse Medical is currently seeking a Paediatrician / Staff Specialist / Consultant Paediatrician for a permanent position with a major regional hospital in Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for an FRACP Paediatrician, RACP-assessed Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG), or suitably qualified Consultant Paediatrician looking for an attractive remuneration package, excellent professional opportunities and a more affordable regional lifestyle.

The position offers the opportunity to join an established Paediatrics service with excellent junior medical, nursing and multidisciplinary support while providing specialist paediatric care to children and families across a large regional catchment.

The Position:

As a senior member of the Paediatrics team, you will provide high-quality specialist paediatric care across inpatient, outpatient and acute services.

The position includes general paediatrics, acute paediatric care, consultation with the Emergency Department and other hospital specialties, outpatient clinics and participation in the Paediatrics on-call roster.

You will also provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff and contribute to teaching, education, quality improvement and ongoing development of paediatric services within the region.

This position would particularly suit a Paediatrician who enjoys broad clinical practice and wants the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a regional community.

The Facility:





You will be joining a major regional referral hospital providing acute and specialist healthcare services to communities across a substantial geographical area of Western Australia.

The hospital provides a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and specialist services and plays an important role in supporting smaller hospitals and communities throughout the surrounding region.

The Paediatrics department is supported by junior medical staff, nursing, allied health and other specialist services, providing a collaborative multidisciplinary working environment.

The position provides excellent exposure to a broad range of general and acute paediatrics and would suit a Consultant who enjoys clinical variety, teaching and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to regional healthcare.

Requirements:

Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:

- FRACP – Paediatrics & Child Health and eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA; or
- New Zealand specialist qualifications with eligibility for specialist registration in Australia; or
- International Medical Graduate who has completed an RACP Specialist Assessment and received a Substantially Comparable outcome.
