Medical Receptionist – Part-Time

For over 160 years, Hunters Hill Medical Practice has been providing personalised, high-quality healthcare to our local community. As a fully accredited clinic, we offer comprehensive general practice, specialist care and allied health services, all under one roof. We’re also incredibly proud to be the current winner of the National AGPAL Excellence Award!

As our Practice continues to grow, we’re looking for a friendly, organised and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team.

This is a part-time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm. We are open to oneperson working the full part-time hours, or two people sharing the role.

About the role

As an important part of our front-of-house team, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces our patients see. Your role will include:

- Welcoming patients and providing a warm, professional first point of contact
- Answering telephone calls and scheduling patient appointments
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients, doctors, nurses and allied health professionals
- Supporting the reception team with the smooth day-to-day running of the Practice
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming reception area and clinic rooms
- Managing patient records with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Working collaboratively as part of a friendly and supportive team

About you





We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing a positive experience for every patient.

You will ideally have

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, staff, practitioners and healthcare professionals
- A friendly, positive and approachable manner
- A high level of professionalism and a commitment to ethical behaviour and patient privacy
- A well-presented and punctual approach to work
- The ability to remain calm, organised and proactive in a busy workplace
- A genuine interest in working as part of a team and contributing to a positive workplace culture
- Previous medical reception experience is desirable, but not essential
