About the Role:
The Senior Manager Quality Compliance and People is responsible for designing and overseeing the integrated quality and compliance frameworks for NDIS Practice Standards, National Standards for Disability services, National Standards for Aged Care, Inclusive Employment Australia contractual requirements, Right Fit for Risk (RFFR), WHS and other obligations.
This role requires a dedicated visionary leader with robust systems and compliance skills, the ability to drive operational excellence, and the capability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that will enhance service delivery, risk management, and best practice client outcomes.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Without limiting the general scope and application of this Position Description, the duties include:
- Strategic leadership and organisational wide quality assurance management.
- Compliance and risk management.
- Develop and facilitate continuous improvement strategies.
- Oversee solution-based incident reporting and management.
- Oversee internal audits as they relate to this position, and risk assessments.
- Partner with business streams to support and drive continuous improvement.
- Support and educate staff to foster a culture of compliance, safety and excellence.
- Develop training programs to education employees on quality and compliance policies and procedures.
- Develop/report to management and Board, driving transparency and accountability
- Oversee and work closely with teams to investigate and resolve quality and compliance issues and complaints.
- SME in relevant legislation, risk management, accreditation and industry standards.
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications (Economics, Finance, Business, Risk), professional certifications, and have extensive relevant industry experience at senior level.
- Demonstrated understanding of solution-based risk and incident management and reporting in an Aged Care and/or Disability Support setting, with particular emphasis on commission breaches and management of reportable incidents, and codes of practice.
- Leadership and people management and demonstrated ability to build a collaborative and positive team culture.
- Familiarity of and skilled in using multiple industry-based management systems.
- Sound professionalism with mature business acumen and strong initiative.
- Current driver’s licence and a willingness to travel.
- Ability to relate to internal and external stakeholders through clear and concise communication.
- Willingness to obtain all background checks as required by the sector.
