Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service provides Child and Family Health services across the region, from regional centres and rural communities to our coastal towns.

Our Child and Family Health team puts children and families at the heart of everything we do. We support families through health promotion, developmental checks, early intervention and care coordination, helping parents and carers build confidence and strong, healthy relationships with their children.

Our work takes us wherever families need us - from homes and community clinics to hospitals and schools, with care delivered face-to-face, by phone and via telehealth.

About the role

- Be the clinical champion. Put your advanced child and family health skills to work through comprehensive assessments, care planning, clinical decision-making and coordinated care. Build strong partnerships with families and the wider healthcare team to help little people thrive.
- Lead, support and inspire. Be a role model for the team by sharing your knowledge, mentoring colleagues and supporting students. Help create a workplace where people feel supported, communication is open and everyone can do their best work.
- Keep learning and keep improving. Bring evidence and current research into everyday practice. Get involved in education, audits, quality improvement and developing resources that help turn good practice into great practice.
- Help improve service delivery. Follow clinical standards, contribute to improving guidelines and protocols, keep records and data on track, and support safety, risk management and service improvements. You'll also work alongside Nurse Managers and Clinical Nurse Consultants to support change and strengthen the future of child and family health nursing.

About you





- You're a Registered Nurse with NMBA registration and bring advanced Child and Family Health knowledge, assessment and care-planning skills. A relevant postgraduate qualification or enrolment is highly regarded, with Immunisation Practice Nurse or Board-Certified Lactation Consultant qualifications an added bonus.
- Communicate openly, build strong relationships and know how to bring people together. You're comfortable delegating, making decisions, supporting colleagues and leading with integrity, while helping create a positive team culture.
- Committed to professional development and enjoy sharing your knowledge through health education, mentoring and supporting others to grow.
- Can turn evidence and research into practice, get involved in audits and quality improvement, support new ideas and help drive changes that improve outcomes for children and families.

What we offer

Total remuneration value of up to $88,377 p.a. is comprised of:

- An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
