Perth College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Gardener to ensure the School’s gardens and grounds are maintained to the highest possible standards.

This is a permanent, full-time position, with an immediate start available for the successful candidate.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors and creating and maintaining high-quality gardens. You’ll coordinate and oversee the daily operational and administrative aspects of the School’s gardening and landscaping activities, while remaining actively involved in planting, pruning, garden care, reticulation and pond maintenance.

About you:

You’ll be a practical, motivated and reliable individual with a passion for horticulture and a strong eye for detail. You’ll be comfortable balancing hands-on garden and grounds maintenance with coordinating daily activities, prioritising workloads and ensuring the School’s outdoor spaces are presented to an exceptional standard.

You have:

Certificate III or above in Horticulture (essential)

Practical experience in horticulture and grounds management

Strong knowledge of garden care, planting, pruning and general horticultural practices

Knowledge and experience in rose care is highly desirable

Experience with reticulation systems and general garden maintenance

Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and coordinate daily workloads

A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team

A current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one

National Police Clearance issued within the last six months

A friendly and professional approach when engaging with staff, students and the wider School community
