Terrex Seismic is one of Australia's most experienced land seismic contractors, delivering the most creative seismic data acquisition solutions to the oil and gas, minerals, coal and research sectors. Our core business is seismic data acquisition, with a full suite of services from survey design and planning through to post acquisition restoration services. The Role

We operate a fleet of seismic vibrators, including INOVA AHV-IV PLS364 and IVI Envirovibes, for our projects across Australia. This role is required to complete maintenance work on the vibrator fleets in the conditions pertaining to the Australian climate at each project location. This position is a full-time, contract position on a FIFO basis with a flexible roster and can be Australia-wide.

Our field crews operate from fully mobile camps in remote areas of Australia or from motels close to the area of operation. The Vibe Technician is expected to be able to work at each of these facilities.

Key Objectives

Performance in this position shall be measured against the following key objectives. Objective Performance Measurement Attain quality of work standards inspection.

Attain productivity standards review. Exhibit good attendance/punctuality standards record. Development of good working relationships survey.

Attain skill level relevant to job assessment.



Meet safety and environmental practice standards review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures vehicles are equipped with safety equipment. Inspect and repair vibrators as required before mobilising to any project. Organise and stock the service truck.

Orientate Vibrator Operators with respect to their individual machines as well as safety factors. Ensure the integrity of vibrator sweeps. Repair vibrators in the field as required, including flat tyres.

Have a preventative maintenance schedule for the vibrators. Responsible for their safety and any equipment within their care and control. Actively attends and participates in all safety meetings.

Understands and agrees to observe the items outlined in the company's safety, operational and orientation guidelines. Other duties may be assigned.

About

You At least 5 years of seismic experience in a similar role. Diesel Mechanic Qualifications.

Minimum Heavy Vehicle (HR) class manual driver's licence. Formal driver training including RIIVEH201 Operate light Vehicle, RIIVEH305 Operate and maintain a 4WD vehicle, and PMASUP236B Operate vehicles in the field. Good interpersonal communication skills.
