GP Milling is an Australian-owned business based in the Darling Downs, QLD, operating from our workshop in Harlaxton, Toowoomba .

Established in 2021, we are a growing supplier of grain handling, conveying and storage equipment . Since our establishment, the business has experienced significant growth, creating new opportunities for Boilermakers, Fabricators and On-Site Fitters to join our team.

n

We are looking for versatile, practical people who are happy to do a little bit of everything. If you enjoy variety and don't want to spend every day doing the exact same job, this could be a great fit.

n

Experience with grain handling or conveying equipment would be highly regarded, but it is not essential . We have an experienced team who can provide the product knowledge and support required to get the right person up to speed.

Boilermaker / Fabricator The Role n

Depending on your skills and experience, your work may include:

n

n
- MIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel
n
- Fabricating and assembling grain handling, conveying and storage equipment
n
- Reading, interpreting and working from engineering and fabrication drawings
n
- Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials
n
- Mechanical assembly and fitting of manufactured equipment
n
- General workshop fabrication and manufacturing
n
- Working with a range of materials, components and machinery
n
- Assisting with testing and final preparation of equipment
n
- Opportunities to operate and develop skills on our turret punch,



press brakes and laser cutter
n
- Opportunities to travel and assist with on-site installations , with projects ranging from Melbourne through to Townsville
n

This isn't a role where you'll necessarily be stuck doing the same type of welding every day. We want people who are willing to get involved across the manufacturing process and build a broad range of skills.

What We're Looking For n

Ideally, you'll have:

n

n
- The ability to confidently MIG weld mild steel and stainless steel
n
- The ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings
n
- Good fabrication, mechanical and problem-solving skills
n
- The ability to accurately measure, mark out and manufacture components
n
- A willingness to learn and take on different types of work
n
- A strong focus on safety and quality
n
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
n
- A current driver's licence
n
- Previous experience with conveying or grain handling equipment would be beneficial, but is not required
n
