About the role

Morning Market is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Pastry Chef to join the team based in Collingwood. Rosters are flexible and do not require late nights but due to the nature of the role, will include early starts and weekend work.

Key responsibilities

- Commercial pastry kitchen experience with solid core fundamentals
- Lead, organise, and motivate a small team through early production runs
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and visual presentation
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Ensure solid understanding of food safety standards
- Work flexibly including weekends and public holidays

About you

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or Commis Chef
- Experience with Viennoiserie (croissants, danishes) is a plus.
- Commercial pastry kitchen experience with solid core fundamentals
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a visual eye for presentation
- Ability to lead, organise, and motivate a small team
- Strong organisation, multi-tasking skills, and a proactive mindset
- Collaborative spirit thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
- Solid understanding of food safety standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
