Achieve Something Great The Patient Experience Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in driving patient-centred care across the facility. This position is responsible for leading, implementing, and evaluating patient experience programs and initiatives that enhance the quality of care and service delivery. Working collaboratively with managers, clinicians, and support staff, the role focuses on strengthening feedback management systems, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring patient experiences inform service development and operational excellence.

- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient experience initiatives across the facility.
- Build the capability of managers, clinicians, and support staff to effectively manage and respond to patient feedback.
- Drive quality improvement activities that enhance patient satisfaction and experiences of care.
- Analyse patient feedback, complaints, compliments, and experience data to identify trends and inform service improvements Foster a culture of patient-centred care by promoting engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all levels of the organisation.

Are You the Right Fit? The ideal candidate is a motivated and influential healthcare professional with demonstrated experience in patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, or risk management. You will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of building effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and leading initiatives that drive safer patient care and organisational learning.

- Proven experience in patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, or risk management within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of clinical incident management, investigation methodologies, and patient safety frameworks.




- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience leading projects, committees, or service improvement initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to fostering a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement.

Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)? Please attach a copy of your AHPRA registration in your application.
- Outline your experience in clinical practice improvement, continuous quality initiatives, and implementing patient safety systems aligned with MoH policies, including ims+ and SAER processes.
- Can you describe a time when you managed a sensitive or complex complaint within a hospital workplace? How did you communicate and negotiate with multiple stakeholders to achieve a timely and appropriate resolution, and what strategies did you use to maintain your own resilience during the process?
- Provide examples of how you demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams, engage stakeholders, and drive safety culture.
