About this Opportunity

We are seeking a Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our Finance Team on a permanent full-time basis. This role will be based at our Head Office in Wingfield, South Australia.

Reporting to the Accountant & Shared Services Supervisor, this role will play a key part in payroll administration across multiple entities, while also providing day-to-day support across accounts payable.

Key responsibilities

- Processing monthly and fortnightly payrolls, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient payroll services.
- Undertaking payroll administration, including current starters, terminations, leave management and employee record maintenance, as required.
- Administering and reconciling payroll, tax, insurance and superannuation payments, and authorised payroll deductions,



in line with legislative requirements.
- Responding to employee pay queries and identifying and resolving payroll errors and invoicing issues, implementing corrective action as required.
- Daily accounts payable processing, including matching purchase orders and completing reconciliations.
- Ensuring accurate payroll and accounts payable processing through data verification, manual checks and error checking as required.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures and modern awards.
- Supporting the Accountant & Shared Services Supervisor with projects and tasks to assist the function in achieving performance standards.

About You

- Experience in payroll and accounts payable functions
- Experience processing payroll for a medium sized company is desirable
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy
- An ability to use initiative and judgement in resolving problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in developing accurate written documents
- An excellent customer service focus and an ability to manage multiple enquiries in a timely manner
- Be flexible and adaptable and have a willingness to get involved in broader tasks and projects
- Sound computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV will be highly regarded
- Payroll, super, and taxation knowledge at a national level will be highly advantageous
