Payroll Supervisor | Sydney CBD (Hybrid – 3 days in office) | Full-time, Permanent

About the role The Payroll Agency has partnered with a well-established organisation, is seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead a complex, high-volume payroll function. This is a true leadership role for someone who wants to run the day to day, set the standard for accuracy and compliance, and invest in developing the people around them.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end processing of complex, high-volume payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll team, including workload allocation, reviews and deadline management
- Coach, train and develop team members, building technical capability and confidence across the team
- Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, award interpretation and compliance matters
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen the efficiency and quality of the function
- Partner with key stakeholders to ensure payroll runs smoothly and issues are resolved promptly

About you

- Strong hands-on payroll experience in a complex, high-volume setting
- Demonstrated experience leading,



supervising or mentoring a payroll team
- Sound knowledge of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and Australian payroll legislation
- A genuine passion for training and developing others
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure
- Confident decision-maker with strong communication and stakeholder skills
