About the role
You will provide practical, timely and customer-focused People and Culture advice to managers and employees across CRCS. Working across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance development, workforce administration, HR systems and reporting, you will help ensure employment conditions and people practices are applied fairly, consistently and in line with CRCS policies, the CRCS Enterprise Agreement 2023, applicable legislation and Fair Work requirements.
A key focus is coordinating learning and development that strengthens employee, leadership and organisational capability. You will partner with managers to identify needs, coordinate mandatory and role-based training, support development plans, source relevant learning options and maintain accurate records and reporting.
What you will do
Provide practical, timely and accurate advice to managers and employees within agreed policies, procedures, delegated authority and escalation pathways.
Manage HR inbox enquiries and respond in line with CRCS policies, the CRCS Enterprise Agreement 2023, legislation and Fair Work requirements.
Prepare contracts, variation letters and employee correspondence, and coordinate onboarding and Day 1 induction requirements.
Coordinate learning and development activities, training records, resources and reporting that support capability, compliance, induction, service quality, safeguarding and child safety.
Support managers with supervision, feedback, performance conversations, learning plans and capability development.
Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and workforce data, and prepare reports that support audit readiness and evidence-based decisions.
Contribute to recruitment, workforce attraction, employee engagement, workforce initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Identify risks and emerging issues, exercise sound judgement and escalate complex or sensitive matters appropriately.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an adaptable,
accountable and resilient HR professional who genuinely cares about people and takes pride in getting the details right. You will be comfortable working at pace, responding to change and balancing service-focused support with sound governance.
You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in a People and Culture, HR advisory or workforce administration role, including employee relations and performance management.
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the National Employment Standards and up-to-date awards, particularly the SCHADS Award.
The ability to provide practical advice across recruitment, onboarding, performance and other employee lifecycle matters.
A genuine passion for building and supporting employee and leadership capability.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
Discretion, professionalism and sound judgement when managing sensitive matters.
Strong organisation, problem-solving and writing skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
The confidence to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment without compromising compliance, safeguarding, quality or safety.
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Knowledge of child safe standards.
- Experience working in the community, health, disability or human services sector.
- Membership, or working towards membership, of the Australian HR Institute.
- Experience supporting organisational change or workforce development initiatives.

Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
