The opportunity
We're looking for a People Operations Partner to join our People & Culture team at Humanforce. A role built to set you up for a career in People & Culture, combining day-to-day HR operations ownership with hands-on junior People Partner responsibilities.
You'll keep our people processes accurate, efficient and running smoothly, while also building experience across employee relations, coaching and people projects. It's a strong next step for an organised, proactive People qualified looking to grow their career.
What you will do
People Operations & administration
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day People Operations activities across the entire employee lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate employee records and People systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare employment documentation, contract variations, letters and other People correspondence.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience.
- Support payroll preparation by maintaining accurate employee data and liaising with payroll providers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage People inboxes, queries and requests, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Maintain People policies, process documentation, templates and guidelines.
- Prepare regular People reports and data insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure People processes align with employment legislation, company policy and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and automate People processes, working alongside our engineering teams to streamline wherever possible.
- Support the administration of performance, remuneration, engagement and talent processes.
Junior People Partner responsibilities
- Provide first-level guidance to employees and people leaders on policies, processes and general employment matters.
- Support the P&C; Team and leaders with employee lifecycle activities, including probation reviews and team changes.
- Assist with employee relations matters; gathering information, maintaining documentation and escalating when appropriate.
- Support the delivery of engagement surveys, people initiatives and internal communications.
- Coordinate People & Culture projects across employee experience, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing.
- Partner with leaders to ensure People processes are applied consistently and effectively.
- Contribute to workforce reporting, organisational change and other people initiatives.
- Support the broader People team with advice, coordination and operational delivery as required.
Automation & continuous improvement
- Partner with our Forward Deployed Engineering team to identify manual, repetitive People processes that can be automated or streamlined.
- Help scope and test automation solutions for HR workflows from onboarding paperwork to reporting and data updates.
- Act as the People team's voice in shaping tools and workflows, ensuring automation reflects how the team actually works.
- Continuously look for ways to remove low-value manual tasks, freeing up time for the work that has real impact.
- Track the impact of automation changes and feed learnings back into how the People team operates day to day.
Who you are
- Experience in People Operations, HR administration, HR coordination or a similar People & Culture role.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes in a quick-paced or growing organisation.
- Strong administration and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll or employee management systems.
- A practical understanding of employment processes, policies and relevant legislation.
- The confidence to provide guidance and support to employees and people leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- A proactive, service-oriented approach and genuine interest in employee experience.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently.
- A continuous improvement mindset,
with an interest in refining processes and ways of working.
- An interest in process automation and technology, with the curiosity to partner with technical teams to simplify how operational tasks are executed.
- Experience in a technology, SaaS or growing organisation will be highly regarded.
What success looks like In your first 12 months, you will have:
- Established trusted relationships across the People team, team members and people leaders.
- Delivered accurate, timely and consistent People Operations support.
- Improved the efficiency and documentation of key People processes.
- Supported a positive and well-organised employee lifecycle experience.
- Provided confident first-level guidance on routine People matters.
- Contributed to successful delivery of People programs, projects and engagement initiatives.
- Helped strengthen the quality and accuracy of People data and reporting.
- Partnered with various teams to automate manual processes, freeing up time for higher-value people work.
