Join our team – Permanent Part Time role available!

We are seeking dedicated Personal Care Workers to provide high‑quality, person‑centred support to our residents during night‑shift hours (11 pm to 7 am). This Permanent Part‑Time role offers the opportunity to contribute to a calm, supportive overnight care environment while further developing your skills as part of a committed aged‑care team.

About the role

As a Personal Care Worker at NECH, you will provide safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care to residents, supporting their comfort, dignity, and overall wellbeing. You will play an important role in maintaining a high standard of daily care, working collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure residents receive the support they need to live with independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities and duties may include:

- Provide safe, compassionate, and person‑centred care to residents.
- Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meals.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, helping residents feel comfortable and connected.
- Support residents’ individual needs, preferences, cultural practices, and spiritual requirements.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any changes to the clinical team.
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health,



and support staff to promote resident wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience in aged care or personal care roles is favourable but not essential – a commitment to delivering compassionate, resident‑focused care is most key.

About you

- Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care (essential)
- Good time management, communication, and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated kindness, empathy, and patience with older people
- Passion for lifestyle and recreational activities for older adults
- Willingness to learn and grow to deliver exceptional care
- Experience in lifestyle or aged care settings (desirable)
- Customer service experience and initiative in previous roles (desirable)
