Gilders Transport & Logistics/GTL Employment – Truganina VIC
We are seeking an experienced Linehaul Supervisor to join our team on a PM shift at our Truganina site in VIC.
This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of linehaul vehicles, leading the team by example and ensuring freight is handled, secured and dispatched safely and on time.
Hours: 10:00 AM until close
About the Role
Reporting to the State Manager, you will oversee day‑to‑day freight and warehouse operations, leading and supporting drivers, forklift operators and warehouse staff. The role requires strong practical linehaul loading experience, a hands‑on approach and the ability to provide clear direction, maintain safety and drive team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the safe loading and unloading of linehaul and pickup‑and‑delivery vehicles
Coordinate daily freight and warehouse activities, including storage and container movements
Lead and support drivers, forklift operators and warehouse staff, leading by example and providing transparent direction
Promote a strong safety first and compliance focused culture
Coordinate workloads and resources to meet operational and customer requirements
Resolve and escalated operational issues promptly
Maintain a positive, respectful and high‑performing team environment
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in linehaul loading is a must
Experience in transport, freight, logistics or warehouse operations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Strong focus on safety, compliance and customer service
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Knowledge of NHVR, CoR, ISO, HACCP and transport safety requirements
Previous supervisory experience highly regarded
