About the Role n

We’re seeking a skilled Data Technician to work inside completed, operational data centres across Melbourne’s western suburbs. This role suits someone who values precision, understands the responsibility of working around critical infrastructure, and delivers disciplined, high‑standard cabling work.

You’ll be installing, terminating, and testing AI‑grade UTP and fibre cabling within live data centre environments — clean, organised spaces with strict procedures and zero‑downtime expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing n

- Installing and routing UTP and fibre cabling to strict standards
n
- Terminating, testing, and documenting cabling for AI and high‑density networks
n
- Working within completed data centres with established security and access protocols
n
- Maintaining accuracy, compliance, and professional conduct at all times
n
- Following change‑window requirements and risk‑controlled work processes
n





What We’re Looking For nn
- Experience in data cabling (UTP and fibre essential)
n
- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing things properly
n
- Ability to work in high‑security, procedure‑driven environments
n
- Understanding of data centre etiquette and risk awareness
n
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
n
- Current cabling registration (ACMA) preferred
n
- Fibre testing experience highly regarded
n
