Where you'll be working Join the Pharmacy team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting high-quality patient care within a large and diverse health service. You will work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, medical teams and other health professionals to optimise medicines use and improve patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing As a Pharmacist Grade 1/2, you will provide safe, timely and patient-focused pharmacy services, with a focus on supporting renal services and effective medicines management.

- Provide clinical pharmacy services and facilitate early medication assessment
- Deliver protected, appropriate and cost-effective medicines management
- Provide medicine information and support to patients and clinical staff
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance,



protocols and quality improvement
- Supervise pharmacy support staff and students and contribute to safe medication distribution

Essential Criteria

- Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 1/2 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
- Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated satisfactory experience in clinical hospital pharmacy practice in renal medicine or equivalent.
- Demonstrated good therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical practice.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.




- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
- Excellent time management with attention to detail.
