Smith Plant has a position available for a licensed traffic controller to operate a pilot vehicle (ute) for a road maintenance crew. The role is a FIFO style role in western NSW on a 10 day on 4 day off roster with travel to and from site paid for in a company vehicle.

What you’ll be doing

Acting as a spotter / in a ute for a road maintenance crew.

Set up, maintain and remove traffic control signs and equipment when needed.

Communicating with site personnel to coordinate access and traffic movements

Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

Maintaining accurate records of traffic control activities

Maintain site vehicle in a clean and tidy manner.

What we're looking for

A valid Traffic Controller (TC) certification for NSW.

Be willing to work 10 days on and four days off for the next 12 months

Excellent communication and customer service skills

White card is mandatory.

Driver's license with a clean driving record.





10-hour workdays every day.

Ideally, you will live in northern NSW.
