A global energy and infrastructure business is seeking a hands‑on Financial Modeller to join their Sydney‑based team, coming from an energy or banking background. This is a genuinely modelling‑heavy role, sitting at the centre of structured and project financing activities Australia‑wide — working closely with debt and equity providers, banks and investors to support financing, investment, and M&A; transactions.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Build and own complex, structured financial models from scratch — supporting project development, financing, and investment decision‑making
n
- Model and structure debt financing solutions for energy projects
n
- Build and stress-test scenario and sensitivity models to support financing and investment committee decisions
n
- Contribute to M&A; activities, including financial analysis, valuation modelling, and due diligence
n
- Maintain and evolve models supporting broader finance activities — budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
n
- Work directly with banks, investors, and financial stakeholders on model outputs, assumptions, and structuring
n

About You nn
- Advanced financial modelling — three-statement, project finance/debt structures, LBO, scenario / sensitivity analysis.
n
- Solid background in energy, infrastructure, or utility‑scale project financing — from either the developer or banking side
n
- Deep, practical experience with debt financing, bank models and transaction due diligence
n
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering
n
- Full working rights in Australia required
