Warners Bay

Experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist – Part time

Verve for Life | Warners Bay, Newcastle Are you an experienced physiotherapist looking for the autonomy to practise well—without being pushed through an overcrowded diary?

Verve for Life is seeking a confident, self-directed musculoskeletal physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary movement and health team in Warners Bay.

This is a part-time employed position for a clinician who already has strong clinical foundations, can manage their own caseload with confidence and wants to contribute to a growing practice with a broader vision for health.

Please note: this is not a new-graduate position, and employer sponsorship is not available for this role.

About the role

You’ll work with a varied private-practice caseload, assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions while helping people move beyond short-term symptom relief towards meaningful, lasting change.

Your work may include

- Thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
- Evidence-informed hands-on treatment where appropriate
- Exercise prescription and progressive rehabilitation
- Supporting clients to return to work, sport and everyday life
- Helping clients develop strength, confidence and physical resilience
- Communicating clearly with clients, referrers and the Verve team
- Managing your caseload and clinical responsibilities independently
- Contributing ideas to the continued development of our physiotherapy services

You’ll have access to private treatment rooms and a fully equipped movement and strength space, allowing rehabilitation to move naturally from the treatment room into meaningful exercise.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be a qualified physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration and demonstrated musculoskeletal or private-practice experience. This role will suit someone who:
- Is clinically capable and confident working independently
- Uses sound clinical reasoning rather than relying solely on protocols
- Communicates warmly, clearly and professionally
- Takes ownership of their clients, diary and responsibilities
- Can develop rapport and build a sustainable caseload
- Values both hands-on care and active rehabilitation
- Understands the importance of strength and movement in long-term health
- Is organised, dependable and comfortable using practice-management systems
- Brings initiative and ideas rather than waiting to be directed
- Enjoys collaborating while not requiring constant supervision
- Is curious, coachable and committed to continued professional development

We aren’t looking for someone who simply wants to arrive, treat the next injury and go home. We want a clinician who cares about the person behind the presentation and takes pride in helping people achieve meaningful outcomes.

Why Verve?

Verve for Life is more than a physiotherapy clinic. Physiotherapy sits within a broader health and movement environment incorporating rehabilitation, strength training, Iyengar Yoga, Pilates, fitness and education.

Our approach is built around several interconnected foundations:

- Moving well
- Building and maintaining strength
- Recovering from pain and injury
- Developing physical capacity and resilience

- Supporting health, independence and longevity

We believe physiotherapy can be the doorway into all of these—not simply a way to settle symptoms until the next flare-up. At Verve, you’ll have:
- Time and space to assess, think and treat properly
- Autonomy within a supportive and collaborative team
- Access to an established and engaged Verve community
- A genuine movement and strength environment for rehabilitation
- Opportunities to contribute to future services and programs
- Sustainable part-time working conditions
- The chance to help shape the next stage of Verve’s physiotherapy offering

This is not a contractor or room-rental arrangement. We’re looking for someone who wants to become part of the Verve team, contribute to our bigger picture and grow with us over time.

The essentials

- Current AHPRA registration
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Relevant Australian working rights
- Demonstrated musculoskeletal or private-practice experience
- Confidence managing a caseload with a high degree of independence
- Availability for part-time work in Warners Bay

Interested?

If you’re an experienced physiotherapist who wants clinical autonomy, genuine collaboration and the opportunity to contribute to something larger than a traditional treatment-room model, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and a short introduction telling us:
1. A little about your clinical experience
2. What you’re looking for in your next role
