About the role

Neurodiverse Playhouse is looking for a Podiatrist with a genuine interest in paediatric podiatry to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is an opportunity to work in a warm, play-based environment where podiatry is about more than simply treating a foot or gait concern. We work with children and families to understand the whole picture — how a child moves, plays, participates and develops — and provide practical, individualised support that makes sense for everyday life.

You will work with children presenting with a range of developmental, biomechanical and musculoskeletal concerns, while also having the opportunity to build an adult caseload if this is an area you enjoy.

You’ll work alongside Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and other allied health professionals, with plenty of opportunity for collaboration and shared goals.

What you'll be doing

- Providing assessment and treatment for children with a range of developmental and musculoskeletal presentations
- Supporting children with toe walking, in-toeing, out-toeing and gait concerns
- Assessing and managing flat feet, pronation and lower limb biomechanics
- Supporting children experiencing growing pains, Sever’s disease and Osgood-Schlatter disease
- Managing sports and activity-related injuries
- Providing footwear advice and orthotic management
- Helping families understand their child’s presentation and treatment options
- Working collaboratively with parents, carers and other members of the child’s care team
- Contributing to a multidisciplinary approach where appropriate
- Building and managing an adult caseload, based on your interests and experience

About you

We’re looking for someone who:
- Is registered with AHPRA and holds appropriate professional indemnity insurance
- Has a strong interest in paediatric podiatry and child development
- Genuinely enjoys working with children and families
- Is warm,



engaging and comfortable communicating with parents and carers
- Has an interest in paediatric gait, biomechanics and lower limb development
- Is keen to continue developing their clinical skills in paediatrics
- Values working collaboratively with other allied health professionals
- Is confident working independently while knowing when collaboration is valuable
- Brings a practical, family-focused approach to clinical care

You don't need to be an experienced paediatric podiatrist. If you have a strong interest in children's podiatry and want to develop this area of your practice, we'd love to hear from you.
