The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Specialist to support data-driven decision-making across a major and complex infrastructure program.In this role, you will design, develop and continuously improve business intelligence solutions, dashboards and analytical products that provide meaningful insights into project performance. Working closely with project leaders, technical specialists and stakeholders, you will translate complex data into clear, reliable and actionable information that supports governance, cost, schedule, risk, procurement, workforce and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards and analytical products for project and executive decision-making.
- Develop robust data models, measures and business logic using Power Query, DAX and SQL.
- Analyse data from multiple systems and sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities and performance insights.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting for executive, program, governance and project control forums.
- Undertake data analysis, reconciliation, validation and investigation to support business decisions and resolve reporting issues.
- Manage report access, permissions, refresh schedules and security controls, including row-level security where required.
- Work with data, technology and project specialists to improve data structures, reporting performance and enterprise platforms.

About You





You will be an experienced Business Intelligence or Power BI professional with strong technical capability and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. To be successful, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting or Power BI development within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, data modelling and data visualisation.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with complex datasets, enterprise data sources or data warehouses.
- Experience delivering BI solutions from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, deployment and ongoing support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and present a clear data story to non-technical audiences.
- Robust attention to detail and a sound understanding of data quality, testing, documentation, traceability and governance.
