PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Assist in the development of market and power system operational reform and system tools for the Northern Territory power systems to support secure, reliable and safe operation, as well as the development and publication of operational documents, plans and reports to ensure compliance applicable Technical Codes. The Power System Engineer reports to the Team Lead Market and System Support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The “WHAT” to be delivered

- Support the management and technical development of the Market Systems Team and contribute to the development, enhancement and

support of the systems and tools that enable electricity market reforms and support power system security, reliability and operational efficiency.
- Apply knowledge across multiple electrical engineering disciplines, including generation, transmission, distribution, asset management,

protection and control systems, to support the development and review of technical envelope of Northern Territory power systems in response to code, participants submissions, ensuring compliance with applicable Technical Codes and Legislation in the Northern Territory legislation.
- Contribute to the development, delivery and operationalisation of system tools and reform initiatives across the Northern Territory to support

the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and standards for the team and contractors to support





the effective delivery of operational system tools and electricity market reform initiatives
- Provide support and contribute to the planning, coordination and delivery of minor and major engineering projects, including the

development of project documentation, business cases, status reporting, resource planning and stakeholder engagement.
