What you'll do

- Lead the design, development, and refinement of tools, templates, and practice standards that enable consistent procurement and contracting delivery and customer service.
- Research, develop, implement, and review organisational procurement policy, procedures, tools and standards to effectively support business procurement needs, identify and mitigate procurement risk, increase adoption of leading practices and meet all legislative and regulatory compliance requirements. The role is fully accountable for the quality, integrity and validity of procurement advice provided.
- Support and promote ongoing strategic alignment with Whole of Government, Queensland Health, System Procurement, procurement and contracting frameworks.
- Oversee the Contractor Engagement team, responsible for delivering a flexible and responsive mechanism of securing resources when internal or standard recruitment pathways are unable to meet demand.
- Contribute to the design, development, embedding and ongoing improvement of service management frameworks and governance mechanisms.

About you We are searching for someone who has the:

- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and resource an operational team, drive a positive team culture, and manage workload priorities in a dynamic, high-demand environment.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently manage multiple stakeholder relationships, foster collaboration and build implicit trust with the stakeholder base.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively across various stakeholder groups and prepare timely reports, briefs, templates, training, and guidance materials.
- Significant experience in leading,



managing and/or coordinating procurement governance matters and capability development activities preferably within large and/or complex organisation within a Queensland Government ICT procurement setting.
- Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end procurement processes, the underpinning systems (e.g. VendorPanel, SAP S/4 HANA or others) and key touchpoints with other key functions such as Finance.
