An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and creative Primary Art & Drama Teacher to join the vibrant community at the International School of Western Australia (ISWA)! In this pivotal role, you will shape the artistic and dramatic development of our students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 (specifically, Kindergarten to Year 2 Art, and Year 3 to 6 Drama).

Through a transdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning, you will integrate both disciplines into the IB PYP framework, fostering creativity, expression, and social-emotional growth.

We are seeking a fully qualified, innovative Art & Drama Specialist to join us for an exciting 6 month, fixed-term, part-time contract (0.648 FTE) working over 4 days per week, with the possibility for continuation.

We are looking for a staff member who possesses:

A record of creative classroom practice that inspires and engages students.

· Inclusive & Cultural Responsiveness: The ability to inspire mixed-culture and mixed-ability classes by creating challenging, supportive, and differentiated learning environments.

· Inquiry-Based Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of and experience with inquiry-based learning, ideally within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework.

· Collaborative Spirit: A strong commitment to transdisciplinary teaching and working collaboratively with primary classroom teachers and specialist teams.

· Creative Passion: A passion for nurturing young learners' confidence, self-expression, and social-emotional growth through Art and Drama.

Experience working in international schools and/or delivering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) is highly desirable, but not essential.
