About the role

Walford is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join our Junior School team for the 2027 academic year in a full time, 12-month replacement capacity.

The successful candidate will create an engaging, supportive and high-expectations learning environment, delivering innovative and responsive teaching that enables every Walford student to flourish and achieve her best.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Prepares and delivers high quality teaching programs, adhering to the requirements of the Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate (Primary Years’ Program).
- Provides a range of differentiation strategies to address students’ individual learning needs.
- Initiates and participates in the creative design, development, and evaluation of curriculum documents.
- Provides a stimulating, yet well-ordered learning environment that fosters the development of resilience, curiosity, and agency in young students.
- Tracks personalised student achievement, in collaboration with Junior School teachers and leaders.
- A willingness to support the School's values and Anglican ethos.
- South Australian Teacher Registration.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).




- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (Fundamentals and Masterclass).
- First Aid Certificate (HLTAID 012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting preferred).
