Lockyer Valley Regional Council is a medium-sized local government organisation employing more than 320 staff.

The Position An exciting chance exists for an experienced and strategic finance professional to join Council as Principal Accounting Services . This position plays a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering Council's financial management framework, ensuring strong governance, compliance and sustainable financial outcomes.

As a key member of the Financial Services team, the position leads the delivery of statutory financial reporting, taxation compliance, financial governance, asset accounting, and audit coordination. You will also provide expert financial advice to senior leaders, support Council's infrastructure portfolio through strategic financial partnering, and drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes and reporting. You will oversee the financial governance, compliance and reporting requirements of Council's diverse portfolio of grant-funded projects and programs.

Experience within local government or a complex public sector environment will be highly regarded.
