The purpose of this role is to provide strategic leadership, direction and oversight of contract management practices across a portfolio of high-value and high-risk contracts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and the delivery of sustainable financial, operational and service outcomes.

The Role An opportunity has become available for a Principal Contract Management Specialist to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern Recent South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Provide strategic direction and oversight for complex, high-value and high-risk contracts critical to organisational performance
- Partner with procurement to support effective organisational outcomes
- Represent the organisation in high-level negotiations with suppliers and external stakeholders
- Develop and oversee contract management strategies and plans for complex contracts are clearly defined and achieved

About you To be successful in this position you will require:

- While not mandatory, the following would be well regarded:
- A relevant qualification in procurement, contract management, law, business or a related commercial discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex, high-value or strategic contracts across the full contract lifecycle.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in contract performance management, negotiations and resolving complex contract issues
- Experience working collaboratively with procurement teams across sourcing and contract management phases.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $144,315 - $154,879 per annum
