As the Principal Treasury Analyst, you'll engage directly with senior executives, government agencies and key stakeholders, providing strategic financial and policy advice that supports informed decision-making. Strategic advice and policy: Provide authoritative, solutionsfocused advice to clients and senior executives on complex budget, financial management, risk and related policy issues.

Analysis and reporting: Lead processes and products that monitor, analyse and interpret financial and non-financial information, including agency budget and reporting requirements.

Stakeholder outcomes: Exercise judgement and influence to coordinate client requirements, navigate complex issues and negotiate positive outcomes.

Executive and government materials: Prepare high-quality reports, submissions, Cabinet and Parliamentary material, briefing notes, presentations and correspondence.

Representation and collaboration: Represent Treasury at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups,



while building productive relationships across government and with GOCs.

What Experience You Will Bring

Financial analysis and policy: Experience analysing and interpreting financial and non-financial performance information and data and/or developing government policy.

Strategic advisory capability: The ability to provide expert analysis and advice that is strategic, practical and solutions oriented.

Influential communication: Communication skills that are clear, persuasive and tailored to the audience.

Stakeholder relationships: Highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills that support information sharing and collaboration.

Judgement and perspective: Effective judgement and an ability to understand different perspectives when developing solutions and working with others.

Sector knowledge: Experience in the energy sector will be highly regarded.

Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
