Summary

BluGlass in Sydney is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to assist in the process development and operation of cutting-edge remote plasma chemical vapour deposition (RPCVD) and metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) equipment for fabrication of thin film semiconductors for visible laser diode applications.

Key Accountabilities

​

- ​Assist in the development and operation of RPCVD and MOCVD equipment and process for GaN-based semiconductor materials and device development
- ​As a member of the core technology team, you will contribute to the innovation of GaN-based laser device structures including developing optimised processes and designs of experiment
- ​Assist in device and materials characterisation and analysis using state-of-the-art characterisation equipment (XRD, SEM, AFM, Hall Effect, Photoluminescence, Electroluminescence)
- ​Provide written reports and standard operating procedures

​Education

- ​Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science field (Physics, Chemistry, Material Science)
- ​Recent Master's or PhD graduates in an Engineering or Science field (Physics, Chemistry, Material Science) strongly encouraged to apply

Experience

- ​Knowledge of semiconductor device design (LEDs, Laser Diodes, Solar Cells, Transistors) is highly desirable
- ​Experience with high vacuum (HV) or ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) equipment is highly desirable




- ​Cleanroom working environment experience
- ​Hands-on thin film deposition equipment experience a plus
- ​MOCVD experience is highly desirable but not necessary
- ​Programming experience a plus (Matlab, Python, Labview, C#, VB, database)
- ​Able to work in a highly collaborative and diverse team workplace
- ​Excellent analytical, organisational, planning and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
