About Us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

About the role The Procurement Lead is responsible for providing support for the management and/or sourcing of non-ICT goods and services State Purchase Contracts (SPC). SPCs are head contracts used by a broad range of Victorian government stakeholders and the role requires strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills as well as technical procurement and contract management capability.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead selected category management activities to facilitate effective outcomes for aggregated Victorian Government procurement arrangements.
- Undertake ongoing contract management of State Purchase Contracts including the monitoring of performance targets and other key deliverables.
- Responsible for key activities in relation to the sourcing of State Purchase Contracts including the application of Victorian Government procurement policies.
- Proactively contribute to the development and achievement of team deliverables, goals and strategies.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and process improvements to maximise the effective and effective delivery of the Procurement and Category Management team deliverables.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with stakeholders,



constructively working to resolve issues or escalate as appropriate.
- Maintain an understanding of Victorian Government procurement policies and other obligations that apply to Victorian Government procurements.
- Provide support to the Government Procurement Group and the department on a range of matters as required.

Mandatory requirements

- Extensive knowledge of Victorian Government procurement policies will be highly regarded.
