Permanent opportunity | Brisbane CBD fringe | Hybrid working An exciting prospect is available for an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in ICT, Data & Technology procurement to join a well-established Queensland organisation undergoing continued transformation across its procurement function.
This is a permanent opportunity suited to a procurement professional who enjoys working across end-to-end sourcing activities, engaging with stakeholders and suppliers, and contributing to the development of procurement processes and operating models.
About the Role
Working as part of an established procurement team, you will support a range of Data & Technology procurement activities, managing both existing initiatives and new sourcing requirements.
The role will provide exposure across the full procurement lifecycle, with responsibility for delivering commercially sound, compliant and value-focused procurement outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities across ICT, Data and Technology categories
- Supporting both existing procurement projects and new sourcing initiatives
- Developing procurement strategies and supporting documentation
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate procurement approaches
- Working with procurement panels and established supplier arrangements
- Contributing to the development and implementation of new procurement processes, systems and operating models
- Providing commercial and procurement advice to stakeholders across the organisation
- Ensuring procurement activities align with organisational policies, procedures and governance requirements
About You We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who brings a strong understanding of ICT, Data and Technology procurement and can confidently manage procurement activities from initial requirements through to contract award.
You will ideally bring:
- 5+ years' experience within procurement
- Demonstrated experience across ICT, Data and Technology procurement
- Strong end-to-end procurement and sourcing experience
- Experience working within a structured procurement function
- Strong commercial and supplier management skills
- Experience engaging with a broad range of internal stakeholders
- Previous experience working with procurement panels would be highly regarded
- Experience with D365 or similar procurement/business systems would be advantageous
