Our client is a blue chip corporate and is seeking an experienced Workday Consultant/Specialist with Workday HCM and/or Payroll implementation experience. This role will be critical in documenting current and future state processes, translating business requirements into system workflows, supporting system configuration, and coordinating testing activities. You will work alongside the internal HR and Finance Functional Leads, including Payroll, Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, Talent and Recruitment, as well as the IT team and external implementation partners.

This role is ideal for a Workday Consultant who is comfortable operating at the intersection of business analysis, functional consulting, configuration support, testing leadership and stakeholder engagement. The role requires someone who can convert complex HR and Payroll processes into structured, system-ready solutions while providing practical Workday expertise and best-practice recommendations.

Key responsibilities

Support the end-to-end delivery of a Workday implementation, as a delivery enabler.

Translate business needs into effective HRIS solutions.

Support the documentation of current-state and future-state HR and Payroll-related processes across multiple Workday domains, particularly Core HCM, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking.

Support the development of high-quality functional requirements, solution designs, workflows,



and configuration approaches, ensuring alignment to business strategy, compliance, and best practice.

Support data migration activities, including strategy, data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and resolution of complex data issues.

Develop and coordinate the testing approach, conduct and support hands-on testing activities, validating Workday configuration, integrations, data migration

Provide Workday functional expertise and best-practice recommendations to support decision-making, improve user experience and increase system effectiveness across HR and payroll processes.

About you

5+ years' experience as a Workday Consultant or similar role, including significant experience supporting Workday implementations.

Hands-on experience with Workday, with exposure to multiple modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Advanced Compensation, Absence and Time Tracking.

Experience producing high-quality functional requirements, solution designs, process maps, workflow documentation, configuration documentation and test artefacts.

Proven ability to identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and improve business processes through system and process design.

Experience contributing to and shaping change management, communication, and adoption strategies for enterprise systems.

Exceptional stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
