Andrew Peace Wines is one of Australia’s largest family-owned wineries, with large-scale vineyard and winery operations based in Piangil, North West Victoria.

We are seeking an experienced Vintage Winemaker to manage night-shift winemaking and production operations for the upcoming vintage.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced commercial winemaker who can lead by example, solve problems on the floor and confidently manage people and production in a fast-paced vintage environment.

About the Role

Working closely with the Head Winemaker, Senior Winemaker and broader winemaking team, you will:

- Manage night-shift winemaking and production operations
- Oversee grape receival, crushing, processing and fermentations
- Coordinate additions, transfers, blending and tank movements
- Manage workflow, tank capacity and production priorities
- Lead and work alongside cellar and vintage staff
- Troubleshoot winemaking, production and equipment issues
- Maintain quality, safety, records and effective shift handovers

About You





You will ideally have:

- A qualification in Oenology, Winemaking or equivalent
- Robust large-scale commercial winery experience
- Previous experience leading a vintage, shift or major vintage operations
- Strong technical and practical winemaking knowledge
- Proven leadership and people-management skills
- A hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- Strong problem-solving skills and confidence making decisions under pressure

Experience with Vintrace, a forklift licence and relevant winery safety tickets will be highly regarded.

The Contract

- Fixed-term contract, approximately February to April
- Primarily night shift, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Accommodation provided
- Applicants must have their own reliable vehicle
