Asset / Maintenance Engineer – CMMS & SAP | Transport NSW

Contract: ASAP – 6 January 2027
Rate: $800–$1,000 per day + Super
Hours: 40 hours per week | Maximum 8 hours per day

APG Workforce is seeking an experienced Asset, Maintenance or Project Engineer to join Transport for NSW in Tweed Heads West.

This is a specialist asset management role focused on improving asset data, maintenance plans and work orders within a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).

We are interested in hearing from engineers with backgrounds in asset management, maintenance, reliability engineering, infrastructure maintenance or engineering systems. Experience with SAP/SAP S/4HANA is highly regarded; however, candidates with strong experience using other CMMS/EAM platforms such as Maximo will also be considered.

About the Role

Working within Transport for NSW's Networks and Assets environment, you will support the setup and improvement of maintenance information for tunnel assets.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing, cleansing and structuring existing asset and maintenance data.
- Developing and improving asset maintenance plans.
- Creating, reviewing and improving maintenance work orders.
- Supporting the setup and management of asset information within SAP S/4HANA.
- Identifying gaps and opportunities to improve asset data quality and usability.
- Working with engineers, maintenance teams and technical specialists to ensure asset information supports operational requirements.
- Supporting continuous improvement of asset management and maintenance processes.

About You

You may currently be working as an Asset Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Project Engineer, Asset Management Engineer or Engineering Systems/CMMS specialist.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- Engineering experience within an asset management, maintenance, reliability or infrastructure setting.
- Hands‑on experience with a CMMS or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
- Experience working with asset registers, maintenance plans, preventative maintenance, work orders or maintenance master data.
- Experience reviewing, cleansing or manipulating engineering/asset data.




- SAP PM/EAM or SAP S/4HANA experience is highly desirable, but strong experience with another CMMS/EAM platform will also be considered.
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, operational and systems stakeholders.
- A four‑year Engineering degree (Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or related discipline) from an Australian university or equivalent overseas qualification.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
