We have an exciting chance for passionate and experienced Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to join Biala Peninsula in a Senior Therapist role.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in Mornington, with flexibility to work across Melbourne to Sorrento, Senior Therapists will play a key role in providing peer and clinical supervision to allocated team members, as well as support children with developmental needs, delays, or disabilities to achieve their therapeutic goals while building the capacity of parents and caregivers. You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and report directly to the Biala Team Leader.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Provide peer and clinical supervision for allocated team members, serving as the first point of contact for junior staff.
- Mentor and support students and junior staff to foster professional growth and development.
- Provide high quality, evidence-based assessment, intervention, and support to children with disabilities and their families/carers.
- For each individual client, set specific, functional and measurable goals and evaluate progress against these goals.
- Provide intervention, training, support and consultation services in a manner that promotes community inclusion of clients in other services and community organisations they may attend.
- Work collaborative and respectfully with all staff, parents and other service providers in the provision of services.




- Manage a varied paediatric caseload alongside a multidisciplinary team and meet client targets
- Observe, record and assess children's progress as required and provide written and verbal reports to parents and other professionals within nominated timelines.

ABOUT YOU

You are a Senior Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapistwho is energic,proactive and passionate about the work that you do.You pride yourself on your ability to achieve warm, friendly relationships with children and their families, one that issupportive of and responsive to the physical, social and emotional needs of each child.

You will posses:

- Bachelors degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology.
- 4+ years' experience working as a qualified Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist.
- Previous experience working in a paediatric NDIS service provision setting (desirable).
- Sound knowledge of discipline specific intervention for working in a paediatric setting with children withdisabilities and developmental concerns within the Early Childhood Approach.
- An understanding of the requirements of working in the NDIS setting and from a capacity building EarlyChildhood Approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage own time,



deadline driven with exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
