We are seeking a curious, practical and collaborative Business Improvement Lead to help strengthen how work gets done across CBM Australia.

Working across teams and functions, you'll partner with leaders and colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement, solve organisational challenges and support more effective ways of working. Sitting within our Business Operations team, this role combines business analysis, continuous improvement and practical problem-solving to help teams make better decisions, improve collaboration and achieve outcomes that matter.

The successful applicant will:

Partner with leaders and teams to understand organisational challenges, identify opportunities and define practical measures of success.

Analyse business processes, workflows, systems and ways of working to identify inefficiencies, risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and collaborative conversations that help teams clarify priorities, solve problems and design practical solutions.

Gather, synthesise and communicate information from a range of stakeholders and data sources.

Develop clear and practical documentation including process maps, business requirements, recommendations and improvement plans.

Lead and support improvement initiatives that deliver measurable value while balancing organisational priorities, capacity and risk.

Help teams improve planning,



prioritisation, ownership and visibility of work.

Support the practical adoption of adaptive ways of working and effective use of collaboration and work management tools such as Jira.

Identify opportunities to leverage business intelligence, automation and AI-enabled technologies to improve organisational effectiveness and decision-making.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

You are someone who enjoys understanding how organisations work and helping them work better.

You bring a collaborative and pragmatic approach, and you're equally comfortable analysing a complex problem, facilitating a workshop or supporting a team to implement change.

You will have:

Enthusiasm for the mission of CBM Australia and confidence working within a faith-based organisation.

Demonstrated experience in business improvement, business analysis, organisational improvement, continuous improvement, operational excellence or a related discipline.

Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience leading workshops, discovery activities and collaborative planning conversations.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.

Experience documenting business processes, requirements, recommendations and improvement initiatives.

Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to suit a diverse range of stakeholders.

Practical understanding of systems thinking and organisational effectiveness.

Confidence using work management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, M365 and Miro.

Data literacy and the ability to use evidence and insights to support decision-making.

Experience using AI-enabled tools,



automation platforms or business intelligence solutions to improve productivity, reporting or organisational effectiveness.

Familiarity with agile, adaptive or continuous improvement methodologies.
