Product Manager — Data Science & AI
Location: Perth, WA

We are looking for a Product Manager to sit between data science teams and the business for a global leader in mining services, currently expanding a growing portfolio of digital and data science solutions across the mining value chain, from orebody intelligence through to downstream processing. You'll turn technical capability into products that are genuinely used, trusted and valued by customers and internal stakeholders alike.
What You Will Do
- Own the product roadmap for a data science and AI capability, translating business problems into clear, prioritised requirements
- Work closely with data scientists and engineers to shape what gets built, why, and in what order, without needing to build the models yourself
- Run discovery with operational and commercial stakeholders to surface real problems worth solving, not just requested features
- Manage backlog, release planning and stakeholder communication across a cross-functional delivery team
- Track adoption, usage and value realisation once products ship,
feeding insight back into the roadmap
- Act as the connective layer between technical capability and commercial outcome across the business
What We Are Looking For
- Solid product management experience, ideally including demand governance, roadmap ownership or portfolio-level prioritisation
- Comfortable working alongside data science and engineering teams, even without a hands-on technical background yourself
- Robust stakeholder translation skills: able to turn ambiguous business need into a clear, actionable product plan
- Experience in resources, industrial or asset-intensive sectors highly regarded, though not essential
Desirable Background
- Exposure to AI-assisted workflows, automation, or applied AI/ML product experience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and up-to-date product tooling (Jira, Confluence, Productboard or similar)
