Blacksmith Camping Supplies is looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on Casual Production & Warehouse Assistant to join our small manufacturing team.

We manufacture premium Australian-made camping and 4WD storage products from our Adelaide workshop, and we're looking for someone who can jump in and help across production, warehouse, dispatch and customer service.

No sewing experience is required for this role.

The position will initially be two 8-hour shifts per week (approximately 16 hours), with the potential for additional hours depending on production requirements.

Applicants must have availability between 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll move between different areas of the business throughout the day.

Your duties may include

- Assisting with general production tasks (excluding sewing)

- Cutting and preparing fabrics, webbing and other materials

- Operating production machinery and equipment, including our Pathfinder fabric cutter (CNC) and webbing cutters

- Fitting buckles, straps and other hardware

- Picking and packing customer and wholesale orders

- Preparing and booking orders for dispatch

- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock

- Lifting and moving heavy rolls of fabric, materials, boxes and stock

- Stock counts and general inventory tasks

- Checking products and orders for quality and accuracy

- Using our computer systems to process orders, shipping and stock

- Serving customers who visit our workshop

- Answering basic customer enquiries

- Keeping production and warehouse areas clean, organised and safe

- Helping the team wherever needed to keep production running smoothly

About you

We're looking for someone who is:





- Available between 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

- Confident with computers and able to learn new systems quickly

- Excellent with attention to detail

- Comfortable learning to operate machinery and cutting equipment safely

- Physically capable and comfortable with regular lifting and moving of heavy materials and stock

- Practical and confident working with their hands

- Reliable, punctual and organised

- Able to follow instructions, measurements and processes accurately

- Safety-conscious and willing to follow workshop procedures

- Friendly and confident dealing with customers

- Happy working both independently and as part of a small team

- Willing to jump between different tasks throughout the day

- Someone who takes pride in doing a job properly

Previous experience in production, manufacturing, warehousing, machinery operation, picking and packing, assembly, retail or customer service would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

An interest in camping or 4WDing would be a great bonus, as would any previous sewing or industrial sewing experience, although sewing is not a requirement of this position.
