Footwork is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager with a background in Podiatry and/or Prosthetics/Orthotics to join our team. As the Production Manager (Podiatrist/Orthotist), you will play a vital role in managing our production floor, ensuring the highest quality of orthotic devices while optimising processes for efficiency and effectiveness. The successful applicant will work closely with 7 podiatrists, gaining a great deal of knowledge on both orthotics and biomechanics, as well as a comprehensive understanding of every step in our manufacturing process.

Based in Keysborough, Victoria, Footwork is the leading manufacturer of custom-made orthotics. Originating as a small boutique lab catering to local podiatrists in Melbourne, Footwork has since grown to become an international supplier to podiatry clinics worldwide. With a robust emphasis on quality and customer service, Footwork has established itself as a trusted name in the industry.

Responsibilities:

- Co-manage the production floor alongside other management staff.




- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and process optimisation.
- Act as the primary clinical resource for our orthotic technicians, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Provide training and mentorship to production staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Understand and manage invoicing and dispatch systems and processes.

Key Criteria:

- Must have completed a Podiatry/Prosthetics & Orthotics degree or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of podiatric principles and orthotic device fabrication techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
