About BioPoint

BioPoint is a specialist Australian manufacturer of accredited microbiology quality control and reference materials supplied to laboratories in Australia and internationally. We are committed to quality, continuous improvement and reliable laboratory outcomes.

We are looking for a practical, detail-oriented Production Technician who enjoys hands-on laboratory and manufacturing work and takes pride in accuracy and consistency. This is a full time permanent role.

About the Role

Working in an ISO 17034 NATA accredited environment, you will manufacture BioPoint products in accordance with approved procedures and quality requirements. This is a production role rather than a research and development position. We would like someone who wants to stay long term to grow and develop the role.

You may also assist with product investigations, customer enquiries and stability studies under the guidance of senior staff.

Key responsibilities

- Manufacture products according to approved procedures and production schedules.
- Prepare raw materials, reagents and production components.
- Dispense and label products
- Complete batch records and maintain accurate electronic and paper-based records.
- Perform routine quality control checks.
- Operate and maintain laboratory and production equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant production setting.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.




- Assist with product investigations, customer enquiries and stability studies as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement and follow all BioPoint quality, safety and accreditation requirements.

About you

- 1-5 years of experience in a laboratory, manufacturing or technical environment or a recent graduate.
- A science qualification or relevant technical experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and an accurate, consistent approach to work.
- Comfortable following procedures and quality requirements.
- Reliable, organised, efficient and self-motivated.
- Collaborative, with robust communication, computer and record-keeping skills.
