The Role

Working as part of the Learning and Capability function within the People & Culture division, and reporting to the Senior Manager Learning Programs the Professional Learning Specialist designs, develops, and delivers high-impact skilled and leadership learning programs. The Learning and Capability team provides support to the A&G; business in the areas of skill and capability uplift, workforce performance, career pathways & mobility and leadership development.

Position Accountabilities

- Learning Solution Design & Development: Design and develop engaging and effective professional learning and leadership training materials, including workshops, resources, and job aids, in collaboration with senior specialists and subject matter experts.
- Facilitation & Training Delivery: Deliver various learning programs and workshops, employing effective facilitation techniques to ensure a positive and impactful learning experience for participants.
- Learning Needs Support: Assist in conducting learning needs analyses and contribute to identifying capability gaps, helping to inform the development of relevant learning interventions.
- Program Evaluation & Feedback: Support the evaluation of learning program effectiveness by collecting feedback, collating data, and contributing to post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively within the learning team, sharing insights and actively participating in initiatives to continuously improve learning design, delivery,



and overall team capability.

What experience you’ll bring
- Relevant industry certifications (or equivalent experience) in instructional design, learning technologies or leadership development methodologies.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a Learning & Development role, with practical experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs.
- Sound understanding of adult learning principles and basic instructional design methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops or delivering training sessions, with a focus on engaging participants and clear communication.
- Experience in creating learning materials, presentations, and resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with subject matter experts.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support various learning initiatives.
