Gippsland PHN is a not for profit charity that works at a regional level to achieve improved whole of system health care. Our vision is for a Measurably Healthier Gippsland. We work closely with the primary health care system, identifying opportunities to improve health outcomes in Gippsland communities. We do this through health system improvement programs, and by commissioning services to address local health needs via our regional commissioning role.

- Ensure health issues are prioritised, understood, and invested in, using local strengths;
- Build and support local capability in primary health care professionals;
- Enable transparent communication and information exchange across the primary health care sector; and
- Improve access in primary health services particularly for those at risk of poor health outcomes, and where gaps exist in hard to reach locations.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Program Development and Engagement Officer

We currently have a full time (1.0FTE) career opportunity available as the Program Development and Engagement Officer. The Program Development and Engagement Officer provides project, procurement and administrative support within the Procurement, Program Development and Engagement team. Working collaboratively with operational teams across Gippsland PHN, the position contributes to research and analysis, planning, co-design, procurement, tendering, monitoring and reporting activities that support the development and delivery of commissioned programs and services. The Program Development and Engagement Officer supports efficient and effective procurement and commissioning practices through stakeholder engagement, project coordination, data collection and analysis, and the preparation of documentation that informs service planning and development.

The Program Development and Engagement Officer works within Gippsland PHN frameworks,



policies and procedures and provides support to the broader organisation in relation to procurement, program development, commissioning and contract monitoring activities.

We are looking for an astute, agile, dynamic, outcomes focused team member. Use your skills to complete work packages including but not limited to:

- Using information contained within funding schedules and associated directives, provide project support to the Coordinator Program Development and Engagement in the development of new and revised models of care, commissioned services and programs;
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, procurement plans and associated documentation relating to commissioned programs and services;
- Support procurement activities, including tender administration, preparation of procurement documentation, contract administration and records management;
- Contribute to co-design and stakeholder engagement activities that inform service planning, procurement and program development;
- Undertake research and analysis to support procurement, program development and commissioning activities;
- Develop and maintain administration systems as they relate to programs and procurement activities;
- Support the administration of working groups, advisory groups and committees as identified;
- Contribute to the collection of data to inform and support population health planning, identify regional health needs and support reporting requirements;
- Support processes to effectively monitor, review and report on the delivery of commissioned programs and services, budget performance and achievement of activities funded through Annual and Business Plans;




- Assist with the preparation of reports, briefing papers, presentations and other documentation as required;
- Coordinate project actions and maintain project documentation, registers and records; and
- Identify and communicate emerging risks, challenges, opportunities and key issues to the Coordinator Program Development and Engagement.
