Project Director

Lindian Resources has an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Project Director to lead the development and delivery of a significant Stage 2 processing plant expansion. You'll beresponsible for the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) through to engineering, construction, commissioning and ramp-up. You'll be based in our Perth office, working closely with the Kangankunde mine site team and travel to Malawi periodically to support project delivery.

Reporting to executive leadership, you will take overall accountability for project safety, development, execution, capital, schedule and contractor performance, while building and leading a high-performing owner’s project team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide visible leadership and accountability for HSE performance of the stage 2 project.
- Lead the Stage 2 DFS through completion, approval and transition into execution.
- Challenge and optimise engineering, process design, capital, schedule and execution strategies.
- Develop and implement the project execution, contracting and procurement strategies.
- Lead engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and ramp-up.
- Manage engineering consultants, EPCM partners, suppliers and construction contractors.
- Maintain strong control of project capital, schedule, risk, forecasting and change management.
- Identify and progress long-lead equipment, early works and critical-path activities.
- Ensure effective integration between the Stage 2 expansion and existing operations.
- Build and lead the owner’s project team and establish clear accountability across contractors and consultants.
- Provide clear project reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Manage key relationships with government, regulators,



contractors and other stakeholders.

About You

You will be an accomplished mining, minerals processing or major projects leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale processing plant projects from study through execution and operational readiness. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a hands-on project leader who can take ownership, challenge assumptions and drive a major project safely and successfully from study through to operation.

You'll need

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining or a related discipline.
- Significant senior project leadership experience within mining and mineral processing.
- Strong owner-side delivery experience on major capital projects.
- Proven experience taking projects from DFS/FEED through execution, commissioning and ramp-up.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge and optimise studies, engineering and project execution strategies.
- Strong management of engineering consultants and EPCM contractors.
- Demonstrated capability in project controls, capital management, contracting and commercial negotiations.
- Previous project delivery experience in Africa.
- Experience in metallurgical test-work, process design and scale-up is highly regarded.
