Role Description The Project Engineer role at Saferway is a full time, on-site position based in Sydney, NSW. This role involves managing engineering aspects of projects from planning through execution, including coordinating designs, reviewing specifications, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The Project

Engineer will work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to monitor progress, address technical issues, and support timely, cost-effective delivery of project milestones. Day-to-day tasks include preparing project documentation, assisting with risk assessments, supporting procurement and installation of electrical systems,



and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and safety practices.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Project Management and Project Planning skills, with experience coordinating timelines, resources, budgets, and reporting on project status.
- Applied Project Engineering experience, including oversight of technical deliverables, review of designs, and support of construction and commissioning activities.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices for installation and maintenance in construction environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Sydney, NSW and adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
- Familiarity with industry safety regulations, quality assurance processes, and risk management principles.
- Proficiency with project and engineering software tools (e.g., MS Project, CAD, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in the construction or infrastructure sector in Australia is an advantage.
