In this role, you will:

Transport for NSW | Portfolio Management Office & Enablement (PMO&E;)

Join a high-performing PMO team supporting the governance and successful delivery of major Transport initiatives across NSW.

We are seeking an experienced Project Governance Officer to provide governance, reporting, coordination and administrative support across a diverse portfolio of projects and programs. This role is ideal for a PMO professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and ensuring governance processes are delivered with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate Steering Committees and governance forums across multiple portfolios.
- Prepare agendas, minutes, action logs, decision registers and governance packs.
- Track governance actions and decisions, ensuring timely closure and audit readiness.
- Support portfolio reporting and dashboard preparation, including schedule, cost and risk reporting.
- Maintain governance repositories, SharePoint sites and project records.
- Monitor compliance with governance frameworks and escalate risks or issues as required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO function.

About you

- Experience supporting PMO, project governance or program delivery functions within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality documentation for executive audiences.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft 365, including Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination and organisational skills.
- Relevant qualifications in project management, business administration or a related discipline, together with project management training/certification such as PRINCE2, PMI, AIPM or equivalent
