Role Overview

Trina Storage is looking for a Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia.

This role will be responsible for managing assigned projects from contract handover through design coordination, manufacturing, logistics, construction support, commissioning coordination, performance testing and handover. The role will focus on project execution, contract and commercial coordination, schedule control, cost tracking, risk management, stakeholder coordination and project reporting.

The Project Manager will work closely with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, network service providers, subcontractors and Trina’s internal engineering, supply chain, commissioning, commercial, legal and service teams. Long-term service, operation, maintenance and after-sales matters will be managed by the dedicated Service Team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage assigned utility-scale BESS projects from contract handover through design coordination, manufacturing, logistics, commissioning coordination, performance testing and handover.
- Maintain project execution plans, schedules, action trackers, risk registers, responsibility matrices and regular project reports.
- Coordinate internal and external project meetings, follow up key actions and escalate project risks or issues to the Senior Project Manager where required.
- Support contract and commercial management, including milestone tracking, payment requirements, change management, formal notices, delay events and project records.
- Monitor project progress, cost, deliverables, critical path, risks and dependencies, and support recovery actions where required.
- Coordinate project-level technical and design interfaces across BESS components, including batteries, PCS/inverters,



MV systems, PPC, EMS, SCADA, communications and commissioning interfaces.
- Work with customers, EPC contractors, consultants, network service providers, vendors and internal teams to ensure project requirements, responsibilities and deliverables are clearly tracked and closed.
- Coordinate manufacturing progress, FAT activities, logistics, site readiness, commissioning planning and handover documentation.
- Support grid connection and compliance-related coordination, including GPS, R1/R2 studies, AEMO/NSP hold points and testing requirements.
- Maintain clear customer and stakeholder communication while protecting project schedule, quality, contractual requirements and Trina’s commercial position.
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and supplier facilities when required.

Highly Regarded

- Experience in utility-scale BESS, solar PV, wind, substations or grid-connected infrastructure projects in Australia.
- Exposure to construction, energization, commissioning, grid compliance and handover activities.
- Knowledge of AEMO, NSP/TNSP requirements, generator registration or R1/R2 hold-point testing.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SharePoint, Procore, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat or document-control systems.
- Mandarin language capability or experience coordinating with China-based engineering, manufacturing or product teams is highly regarded.
