Machine Operator / Sewer - Curtains & Blinds

We make premium custom curtains, blinds and tracks for homes across Melbourne's south-east. We've been doing it since 2003, we back our work with a 10-year warranty, and we were a finalist in the 2026 WSAA Independent Retailer Award.

About the role

We make premium custom curtains, blinds and tracks for homes across Melbourne's south-east. We've brought blind and track manufacturing in house and demand for our curtains is growing, so we're adding a casual to our small production team. We are versatile with work hours and work with you if you have other commitments.

Key responsibilities

Measure and cut fabric to spec

Learn to operate industrial sewing and overlocking machines

Hem, join, weight and finish curtains

Assemble roller blinds and tracks

Press, fold and pack finished work ready for install

About you





Accurate with measurements and able to follow a written spec

Steady hands and patience for precision work

Reliable: our install calendar depends on it

Happy to be shown a method and stick to it

Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg

Available consistently during the week, ideally three days together

Any sewing background helps — domestic, clothing, upholstery or soft furnishings — but it isn't essential.
